Hello, I'm basher and I am the webmaster of this site! I am an artist, coder, and a beginner to acting. I was first shown Neocities through YouTube videos about old websites, 2000s internet nostalgia, and making websites in general. Even though I am a newgen and somewhat get this concept, I thought it was cool to make a website like this and during the time I was playing DOOM, which a friend introduced to me to it, it's modding scene, and source ports, I decided the first website I made was called "Basher's DOOMsite." It was a simple site that had the directory (which originally had DOOM and DOOM II wads created by me and others from my Neocities neighborhood) and basically shit I threw in there like a donate page, videos for some fucking unknown reason that I cannot explain why, updates, and a guestbook. It was until November of 2024, I think, I had renamed the site to "basher" because I was simply tired of my site being just DOOM themed and wanted to just be my own personal website. I mean sure, I still like DOOM! I don't play it as much often anymore, but I'd usually come back to it just to cure my boredom like the other games that I have either in my Steam library or shit on the internet!
